Disney World, Maine edition
A guide to Acadia's magnificent staircases, bridges, and ladders
Spending a few days wandering the immaculately-sculpted trails in Acadia National Park is my idea of a trip to Disneyland. The trail-builders of Acadia manage to make their trails go places where it would appear impossible for a trail to be constructed. And now that we’re getting into October—a quieter and opportune time to pay a visit to Acadia—I’d like to talk about three physical trail elements that really give Acadia its naturalistic carnival vibes...
Stone stairs, wooden bridges, and iron ladders.
